Colin's 1937 Jaguar SS100, Encinitas

One thing I’ve learned as a professional car photographer in San Diego, not every car is going to be gem and in pristine condition. Actually, this is true for every type of photography we do! But what me and my team truly love about our jobs is getting to hear, feel and see the stories that are behind every image we take. So when we were tasked to photograph Colin’s 1937 Jaguar SS100 for auction, we jumped on the opportunity! And we weren’t disappointed, as Colin was extremely knowledgeable about his classic car. We learned so much from Colin, such as the fact that there were only 100 of these cars made… that Jaguar was actually named SS before the war… and that there was a hidden storage compartment under the passenger seat of this car! This 1937 Jaguar SS100 was inoperable and a definite restoration project, so it needed some love in post production. We sent the photos to auction as is, but for our website we applied a few artistic touches. Enjoy!
