Portrait Session Questions

As a full time photographer, we offer our photography services all over Southern California. In addition, we also offer creative packages for destination events worldwide.
A non-refundable, 100% deposit is required for all non-event photography sessions (i.e. portrait settings, engagements, surprise proposals, graduation/senior portraits, maternity sessions, etc.). This is because we are a full time photography studio, and NOT a weekend warrior. When sessions are booked, if clients no show or cancel last minute and we are unable to rebook their timeslot, we loose revenue. However, we do recognize clients concerns regarding deposits, and we work hard to maintain a strong online reputation to put our clients at ease.
Our photography session fees are all inclusive, and include the session time, professional editing of your photos, a password protected link to view and download your high-resolution photos absolutely free, and unrestricted rights to use and print their photos for any non-commercial purpose. Our clients can take their photos anywhere they please to have them printed, however, we are proud to offer professional printing and framing services at costs that are competitve with most discount stores (i.e. Costco, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.).
As a full time photographer, taking amazing photos for clients is ALL I DO. This means that you should always try to give me at least 7-10 days advanced notice to get on my shoot calendar. In extreme emergencies, it may be possible for me to move some shoots around to fit in last minute bookings.
Absolutely! We offer a portable changing tent (requires advance request) so that our clients can change outfits, and unlike other photographers, we don’t restrict the number of outfits you can change into. We do ask that you keep in mind that outfit changes cut into your photography session time, so plan ahead!
Yes, we do have a portable pop up changing tent for clients to use. Due to it’s size, however, we do require that you request the changing tent in advance of your shoot, as we normally don’t bring it to shoots unless requested by our clients.
We do have some standard props that we can bring along, such as chalkboards, liquid chalk, confetti and picture frames. However, we do ask that you request us to bring these props in advance of your shoot, since we don’t normally carry them along. You are always allowed to bring your own props as well, and we don’t offer any limits or restrictions! Bear in mind, we are not responsible for any fees incurred for legal restrictions, such as glass, alcohol, etc. in public spaces.
Absolutely! Prior to each shoot, our photographers always review our basic posing tips to help our clients look and feel their best during their shoot. We also offer a broad range of photography posing suggestions on our Pinterest boards!
Absolutely! We are happy to offer portrait location recommendations to our clients! As a born and raised San Diego native, I’ve photographed ALL over town, so just let me know what type of shoot you are envisioning, and I’d be happy to recommend some locations for you!
As a creative photographic artist, I reserve the right to select the photos that best represent my artistic expression of my client’s portratis. This means that I choose the final photos for my clients, as they are a representation of how I view my clients and the world. Although I take many, many photos during my sessions, my clients ONLY see the photos until I have culled and selected for them.
Absolutely! I edit all professional portrait photos, and the formal photos for weddings and events. My professional photo editing services includes color enhancements, blemish removal, teeth and eye whitening, light skin airbrushing, object removal, grass greening, sand smoothing, and creative renderings. However, I DO NOT do any body morphing (thinning of waist or other body parts). Also, I do not perform individual editing on event photos (other than formal photos), as there are just too many photos and people to do this effectively and cost efficiently.
As a general rule of thumb, all final portrait photos are done within fifteen (15) business days, and all final event photos are done within thirty (30) business days. However, I usually do everything within my power to deliver my clients their final photos earlier. During seasonal rushes, my delivery time may vary, and I always keep my clients updated as to where my delivery time stands via my webiste.
Yes, we always include a nearly transparent watermark on all of our non-commercial images to protect our rights. However, we do grant full, non-exclusive rights to our clients to use and print their images in any non-commercial way. If necessary, clients can purchase the full, unrestricted rights to our photos, which would allow you to use the photos in any way you please (both personally and commercially).

Our clients can use their photos for any non-commercial purposes as they wish, such as displaying them on their personal social media or having them printed for their holiday cards or any other personal use. However, our photos cannot be used for commercial purposes, unless those services are specifically ordered (i.e. business headshots, business shoots, product photography, etc.).
Absolutely! ALL photo sessions INCLUDE a free, password protected link to download your high resolution photos in our standard sizes, which are perfect for printing amazing 4×6 prints! ALL clients also have the option to upgrade to our large, high resolution downloads, which can be used to print high quality wall mounts in excess of 3’x4′!
Yes, we do offer prints from your password protected link! Our prices are about the same as Costco and Walgreens, and you can print everything from wallet sized prints to coffee mugs and phone cases!
We do offer to ship our clients their high resolution photos on digital media (typically USB) for a nominal additional charge to cover postage and handling.
As part of our marketing, we do select a small number of photos from each shoot (typically 4-12 photos) to display on our website and social media. These images are purely for marketing purposes to illustrate to potential clients our photography and photo editing styles. They CANNOT be downloaded from our website (we cannot guaranty inability to download on social media sites), and they are protected from use by anyone else who might obtain them illegaly by standard copyrigth laws of the USA. Our clients are not allowed to pick which photos we choose to share, as these sample photos are intended to be a direct reflection of the photographers artistic and photo editing styles.
For sure! WE LOVE TO TRAVEL, and hold valid REAL IDs and passports so we are available for destination weddings and corporate events in the US and all over the world! If you’re planning a destination wedding or event, please check with us on our availability, and we’re more than happy to offer you an amazing package to allow us to fuel our travel bug while also working! Often, we can reduce our booking/travel fees in exchange for flight and accommodations that allow us to stay and shoot for our own portfolio for a few extra days!

Videography Session Questions

We offer professional videographer services for all commercial and personal events, including (but not limited to), weddings, quinceannearas, birthday parties, retirement parties, private parties, memorial services, conferences, trade shows, commercials, video testimonials, podcasts, etc. As a professional videography studio, we can accommodate and adhere to any video project guidelines, including ensuring headings, titles, credits, music overlays, inclusion of still images, ect. We do reserve the right to decline services to any clients for any reason, including but not limited to: offensive and/or discriminating offerings; offerings not aligned with videographers’s personal beliefs; etc.
Our videography session fees are all inclusive, and include the videography session time, separate video and audio recordings< professional editing of your videos, and three (3) high-definition videos (social media reel, highlight reel, full reel) via a public YouTube link. Our videography clients also have the ability to request their videos on digital media (additional charges may apply). In such case, we will always work to try and accommodate our clients last minute needs, so please don't hesitate to ask! [/accordion_item] [accordion_item title="How many camera's will you be using?"] For all video projects, we use a minimum of two (2) cameras, consisting of one stationary camera and one roaming camera. In addition, we incorporate separate, wireless audio equipment and professionally merge sound and video together in post production. On large events and situations that require it, we may add 2-3 additional cameras. [/accordion_item] [accordion_item title="How do you capture sound?"] In most instances, we utilize seperate audio equipment to capture clear and crips sound of nuptials, speakers and testimonials. That seperate audio is professionally matched with the final video during our post production process. However, for live action, candid moments (such as well wishes from guests), we utilize the built in audio recording features of our professional cameras. [/accordion_item] [accordion_item title="How many videos will I receive?"] All of our professional videography services INCLUDE three (3) professionally edited videos, unless otherwise requested by our clients, as follows; 1) a social media reel (typically a minute or less in total length), to be used to promote your event on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; 2) a highlight reel (typically 3-5 minutes in total length), to be shared with friends and family online; and 3) a full reel (typically encompassing highlights of preperations and post event activities, and including the full ceremony itself), which is usually shared with only family and close relatives.
Great question! All of our high-definition videos are shared on our YouTube channel with a public link, so they can be easily shared with whomever our clients wish. We can also send out all videos on digital media to our clients, however, an additional charge may apply.
Absolutely! When completing our videography questionnaire, our videography clients have the ability to state not only the specific titles and credits that they want to add to their final, professionally edited videos, but they also have the ability to add a ‘Special Thanks’ section and choose their own background music!
Unless specifically requested, all of our professionally edited videos are distributed to our clients via a public YouTube link. This is done to help facilitate easy sharing of the videos with our clients friends and family (so our clients do not have to create a YouTube channel).
Professional video editing is a long and tedious process that we take very seriously to put out the absolute best and consistent product! Unlike our photography editing services, we cannot put out video samples (i.e. you can’t put out a small snippet of a video to let clients view what the full product will look like). Therefore, our normal turnaround time for videos is up to thirty (30) days, at which time all three videos will be complete and ready for viewing. Our clients are then able to comment back and able to request any changes. NOTE: Although thirty (30) days is our normal turnaround time for video editing, turnaround times may be longer or shorter depending on the season and our workflow. Our turnaround times are updated daily, and always visible on our website here.
Since we are a full time photography and videography studio, we do require a non-refundable, 25% deposit to hold dates for our clients events. Deposits are required to avoid loss of revenue from last minute cancellations and no-shows, resulting in loss of revenue to our company. However, we do understand that unavoidable situations do arise, and we do everything we can do rebook dates with other clients to allow us to return deposits whenever possible!
