Have you been searching for the perfect venue for your corporate event, high school prom, dream wedding, retirement party, or any other large event? If so, it would be worth your while to take a look at The Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens! As a full time, professional wedding and event photographer based in San Diego, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing moments at event venues all over America’s Finest City, and have worked with a wide range of event coordinators and vendors for almost all events. Hands down, I have to say, that The Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens ranks as one of my favorite venues to work at, in terms of beauty, photography composition, service and tasty food!

This wedding and private party venue is a stand alone event venue located in the CDP of Fallbrook in northern San Diego County. It’s grounds are absolutely stunning, and it’s southern mansion style and vibe makes for some amazing weddings and events! They have a traditional, colonial mansion, a large lake, and beautifully manicured grounds and gardens. Although I’ve only shot at the main mansion, they do have another location on the premises that allows them to host multiple, large scale events concurrently. In fact, even though I could hardly tell, there was another wedding going on at the same time during the wedding that I was shooting. The service staff at The Grand Tradition is amazing, and they worked extra hard to ensure that the bride and groom didn’t have to worry about a thing on their special day. I received a call a few days before the event from Chantrel, our wedding coordinator for the day, and she patiently went over the days agenda with me. When I arrivced at the venue, Chantrel gave me pointers on the best locations for bride and groom portraits, and provided me with a printed itinerary for the days events. But most of all (and this ranks HIGH on my coordinator checklist), the service staff immediately brought over appetizers and drinks to the bridal party right after the ceremony, to ensure they were well hydrated and fed during their formal portraits!

Oh, and the food… oh, my the food! It’s extremely hard to maintain a respectable diet for any professional wedding photographer, but the spread put out by The Grand Tradition team was probably some of the best wedding food I had ever had! The prime rib was succulent, and the baked salmon was cooked perfectly. Both were paired with some amazing veggies, potatoes and bread, and all was served with a smile by the wait staff. Vendors were given a private, quite table away from the guests to eat, and the guests tables were quickly cleared immediately after their meals, and their glasses filled with sparkly bubbly in preparation of the toasts!

Our event coordiantor, Chantrel, constantly checked with the bride and groom to make sure they had everything they needed, and that the festivities kept on schedule. They even handed out the sparklers and coordinated with the guests to ensure the bride and groom got the grand exit photo they wanted!
