Coasterra on Harbar Island

03/52 – Coasterra on Harbor Island, San Diego, California. One of the latest editions to the Cohen Restaurant Group in San Diego, Coasterra on Harbor Island provides some of the most amazing views of the downtown San Diego skyline coupled with innovative and modern Mexican cuisine. Located right next door to Island Prime, Coasterra is not typically the best place for family photographs, engagements or individual portraits, as it’s typically fairly crowded and doesn’t offer much along the lines of creative compositions. However, on any given day the walkway surrounding Coasterra can be quite crowded with amateur and professional photographers alike jockeying for that perfect skyline shot of downtown San Diego both during and after sunset. Not to mention the glorious views of the Coronado Bridge and Island! Coasterra made it onto my list of favorite places to photograph in San Diego, because it’s a great place for me to go and capture images of my favorite hometown!

In 2016, Coasterra added a floating barge directly behind their restaurant to host corporate and private invents (yes, including weddings!). Elegantly lit and catered, any evening/nightime event here is sure to wow all of their guests with spectacular views. Try catching the annual parade of lights from Coasterra, you won’t regret it! Beware though, private parking is slim, with the majority of the spots being reserved for valet parking for both Island Prime and Coasterra.
