Los Penasquitos Waterfalls, San Diego

After the heavy rain in San Diego yesterday (ahem…), I decided to take a little hike and capture the Los Penasquitos Waterfalls this morning. I have to admit, I took a shortcut (the hike was only about 1.5 miles instead of 3.5 miles!), but considering I was carrying my camera gear, I felt I deserved it! It was a muddy treck, I had my fair share of slippping and sliding, and was even caught in a small shower just as I got to the falls. I took in the quite, peaceful beauty until the showers passed, and then managed to snap a few shots of these beautiful little waterfalls. Also got to meet another photographer, James, who headed out much earlier than me to capture some shots!

All of these were shot with my Nikon D750, with an ND8 filter (camera pointed East) and cranked up apperture to filter out the morning light, manual focused, sitting on my tripod and using a manual trigger to reduce bounce. I did a little post in Lightroom, but it was very little. Enjoy!
